PARIS: France warned soon after Russia informed their success on the first day of their attack in Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin should remember that NATO has nuclear weapons, said French Foreign Minister. French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said that Putin, when making threats about using nuclear weapons, needs to understand that NATO, too, is a nuclear alliance. French President Emmanuel Macron strongly criticized Russia’s attack. He also demanded that the path to negotiations be opened.

America and Japan are presently pushing for economic sanctions against Russia. United Nations Security Council is reviewing the situation in Ukraine today. US President Joe Biden has ruled out a direct war with Russia, and is sending 7000 troops to Germany to protect NATO allies.

Students including many Indians are stranded in Ukraine. India has started peace efforts to bring them back safely. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin the other day. The Ukranian military is strongly fighting against Russia. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has asked the people to take arms and fight for the country.
