KYIV: Ukraine has banned males aged between 18-60 from leaving the country, on the second day of Russian invasion. The ban was part of the martial law imposed in the country. Ukraine considers the male citizens of the country as the last resort to fight in the war. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed the order related to this. They may be called in at the next stage to ensure the defense of the country and to mobilize in the fight.
"We are alone in defending our nation, said the President. “Who is ready to fight alongside us? I don’t see anyone,” he said. “Who is ready to give Ukraine a guarantee of NATO membership? Everyone is afraid.”
This restriction will remain in effect for the period of the legal regime of martial law. The inspections in country border have been strengthened. Zelenskyy has announced martial law in Ukraine shortly after Russia declared a "complete war". Currently, the Russian army is located just eight kilometers from the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv. The village of Vorsal here has already been captured by the army. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense confirmed that Vorsal was under Russian control. Russia is preparing to attack the capital. But Ukraine has been hampering Russian military operations with unexpected counter-attacks.
