KYIV: Russia ready to talk if Ukraine lays down arms and the attack is aimed at liberating Ukraine, says Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy was transferred to a bunker when it was confirmed that Russian army would capture Kyiv.

Russia is trying hard to capture the Ukrainian capital, Kiyiv. The government has asked the Ukrainian people to join the army in order to resist the attack. As part of this, weapons were distributed to the citizens.

As the situation continues to worsen, India is sending planes on Friday to bring back Indians from Ukraine. As a first step, two Air India flights will be sent to Romania. The plan is to evacuate 1,000 students on Friday.

Efforts are being made to evacuate Indians via Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Romania. The entire cost of the returnees will be funded by the Central Government. The students were told to reach the Hungarian-Romanian border as per the new directive issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Passport and Covid double vaccination certificate must be kept in hand. Better to carry money in US dollars. Indian flag should be clearly displayed on the vehicle. The embassy said in a statement that this was to ensure security.
