KYIV: The first Indian flight with Indians stranded in Ukraine will arrive in Delhi on Saturday. It is learned that there will be 17 Malayali students in the first group. Two flights will take off from India to Romania at midnight today. Once there, the students will return home after taking the number of Indian students.
Details regarding the second flight is unknown at this time. Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan will receive the first delegation at the airport. It is estimated that 1,500 people have been deported to the Romanian border. There are reports that more people have come here since then. It is reported that a flight will be sent to Hungary tomorrow, though no official confirmation has been received in this regard.
The official estimate is that there are about 20,000 Indians in Ukraine. The Ministry of External Affairs estimates that it will take three days to repatriate everyone. The ministry also said there is no need to worry about the repatriation of Indians.
