NAGERCOIL: With the death of Neelan alias Ayyappan hacked to death on broad daylight yesterday, the family has lost their breadwinner. Neelan is the second son of Madaswamy-Velamal couple of Kottar Chettitheruvu in Kanyakumari district.

His elder sister Chidambaram (Sindhu) and younger sister Sivapriya are married. The shocking incident happened when marriage proposals were going on for him. His parents met the family expenses with his salary. He sends money to his father’s account on the day he gets salary.

Neelan was in the forefront in his hometown for any need of his friends. He did not have any bad habits. He was in his native place during the lockdown time and returned to the hotel when it opened after nine months ago. He had visited his parents two months back.

Madaswamy said even though the accused has been arrested, they will not get his sons back. Sivapriya said she and her family is not able to bear the death of her brother.
