KYIV: The people of Ukraine are living in fear amid the ongoing Russian invasion. They are fleeing for their lives grabbing everything they can. Almost all the shops remained closed on Friday, the second day of war. However, the ‘Cat Café’ was still open.

We have to feed our 20 cats. If we leave, then they will starve, said the café owners. Our cats are brave. But, what will they do when they are hungry? All the shops were shut, they said.

“A place is made up of so many tiny stories. And each one is big. The cat café is open because there are 20 cats to be fed. This is our life. We will not leave’’, said the owners.

‘It is a dark and heavy day here. But I found something that couldn’t stop a smile. The only food I saw open – Cat Café. The owners are making food with what they have – they smiled: Our cats are brave’, tweeted CNN journalist Erin Burnett.
