Although the Central Government is sending planes to repatriate Indians, Malayalee students are still stranded in various places. The students are surrounded by the atmosphere of war and cold below zero degrees.

People who have come out to reach the borders are struggling hard due to extreme cold, unable to go back or to move further. It is alleged that the Indian embassy issued instructions without understanding the plight of people especially girls. The parents of students are extremely worried.

When students reached Rawarasa border after travelling for 40 kms on foot to reach Poland, embassy officials told them to reach another border Shahnai. On the way back, they were instructed to stay at the place they were.

Catherine's father had alleged that the embassy is confusing students. Another student Diljo's father had complained that the students were not given proper food and water. The stored food will ran out soon. Parents have requested to rescue the students by sending a special vehicle otherwise their lives will be in danger. Thirty students from Palakkad district informed the families of their plight and sought the help of the government. They are in the midst of frequent explosions in nearby areas. Students said that many news about the rescue operations are untrue.

"The distance to the Hungarian border is 820 km. It will take about 15 hours to reach there. Fearing an attack on the way, we abandoned the journey. We have about 50 Malayalee students living in a flat in Poltava." , said Jennifer, Valiyathura native, a medical student
