KOCHI: Eleven Malayalees repatriated by India from Ukraine as part of 'Operation Ganga' reached Kochi. All returnees are students. They are part of a group that landed in Mumbai from Ukraine. Relatives and others arrived at the airport to receive the students. Many broke into tears on seeing their loved ones. NORKA took the initiative to repatriate them from Mumbai. The cost of the trip was borne by the state government.
The students thanked the Central and State Governments for repatriating them safely. The returnees said that there are more students stranded at the Ukrainian-Romanian border and are in great difficulty.
