RAJKOT: Rohan Kunnummal, who scored a century in the second innings against Gujarat in Ranji Trophy cricket, led Kerala to an eight-wicket victory. On On last day of the match, Gujarat were all out for 264 in the second innings. However, overcoming the 214-run target in one day was a challenging step. However, Rohan's attacking style of batting helped Kerala to a comfortable victory. Captain Sachin Baby and Salman Nisar gave Rohan excellent support. Sachin Baby (62 off 76 balls) and Salman (28 off 30 balls) also scored well. For Gujarat, Kaleria and Nagwaswala took one wicket each.
Rohan Kunnummal became the first Kerala cricketer after SK Sharma to score a century in both innings of a match. SK Sharma achieved this feat in the 2008 Ranji Trophy match against Haryana. Karan Patel and Umang helped Gujarat score good runs from score 84-5. Umang scored 70 runs and Karan Patel scored 81. Jalaj Saxena and Sijomon Joseph took their wickets. The duo scored 138 runs. But Gujarat did not hold out much longer after the two were out. Gujarat were all out for 264 runs
