NEW DELHI: Two cars were sent to the airport from Kerala House to carry 30 Malayalees who arrived in Delhi from Ukraine. Though the authorities had informed that Kerala House was fully prepared to receive the Malayalees, something else happened.

The flight from Ukraine landed in Delhi on Sunday at 3 am. Delegates from various states were there in the airport to receive them. Haryana and Karnataka opened help desks at the airports.

The Kerala House delegates arrived at the airport after 3. Two cars were brought expecting about 30 Malayalees. UP came with a luxury Volvo bus to transport the students under fifteen.

With the decision to send 16 of the 30 directly from the airport, Kerala House authorities were able to transport 14 students in two cars. The first trip went with 12 people into two cars and with large bags. The other two students and staff then had to wait at the airport for about an hour.

Meantime, the fifth flight from Romania reached Delhi. The batch had 249 Indians including 12 Keralites. With this, 1157 have returned so far.
