KOZHIKODE: A court sentenced a man to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine on charges of attempting to stab a co-worker at a beef stall. It was Kozhikode District Additional District and Sessions Judge K Anilkumar who sentenced Pulpally native Abdul Nasser (47) to 10 years of imprisonment. On June 25, 2017, Abdul Nasser had attempted to stab and murder his colleague Kayanna native Shaji (46). The incident took place at a shed next to the beef stall where they were working.
The court also slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 on Abdul Nasser. The charge sheet was filed by Perambra SI KP Anilkumar after collecting statements from 16 witnesses.
