KADAKKAL: A YouTuber who was arrested in connection with the shooting of a grazing cow, had distributed the meat curry at a police station and fire station. He had posted the footage on YouTube of distributing the meat, which is said to be that of deer and goat, at various stations, including Kadakkal Fire Station and Kadakkal Police Station.

Three persons, including Rajeef (35), from Ayirakuzhi in Chithara, have been arrested in connection with the shooting of an animal to death at the oil palm estate in Eroor. The gang shot and killed a pregnant cow owned by a Kulathupuzha resident and smuggled the meat. The locals had informed the police when they saw a suspicious vehicle at the spot. The three were arrested during an investigation based on this. Rajeev's father Kamaruddin and Hilary, a native of Kochanjilimoodu, are the other two arrested.

The oil palm estate, spread over 30,000 acres, is usually used by farmers to graze their cows. The accused were caught in the investigation following the disappearance of Kambamkode native Saji's cow. A vehicle and a gun were seized from them. Rajeev and his gang used to break into the estate under the name of being a YouTuber. Earlier, it was alleged that pigs and cows were shot and meat was smuggled from Vilakkupara estates.
