THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 2373 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. Among these, 2237 persons developed the disease through contact, including 102 cases without an identified source of infection. 8 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 26 health workers contracted the disease on Wednesday.

5525 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 21,664 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 2 deaths due to the virus on Wednesday with the toll rising to 65,597.
