KYIV: Russia has seen civilians fighting in Ukraine despite warnings to surrender. Russia has also called on the Ukrainian military to seize the power and to overthrow the President and government. But even then they saw soldiers fighting fiercely to prevent Russia from invading their country. Russia launched a strong attack after this. Russia is trying to overthrow popular Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy and to transfer of power to their dependent, former President Viktor Yanukovych.

Viktor Yanukovych was ousted from power and later fled the counntry during the 2014 Euromaidan revolution. Yanukovych became Ukraine's fourth president in 2010. He was ousted after a series of violent protests and clashes in Kyiv. Victor, who fled to Russia at that time, is now trying to return. Russia is trying to oust Zelenskyy and to bring in Viktor Yanukovych as president which will create a puppet government in Ukraine.
