KOCHI: Mystery surrounds the suicide of YouTube vlogger and model Neha (Muhbasheera, 27), a native of Vaduthala, Ernakulam. The police is in search of Siddharth, a native of Kasaragode, who had stayed with her. The drug mafia’s involvement in the suicide is also being investigated. The close friends of Siddharth and Neha will be questioned in the coming days. The police had found MDMA and hashish oil from a room in the Mermaid apartment on Jawan Cross Road, Ponekara, where the two were staying.

The police also arrested a youth with 15 grams of MDMA from the nearby area. It is suspected that the drugs found in the woman's room may have been given by a group involving this youth.

Neha was found hanging inside the flat at around 2 pm, on Monday. The body was discovered by Siddharth’s friend. The police had interrogated and released this man and two other youths. The postmortem was completed and the body was handed over to the relatives. The funeral took place in Kochi. Neha has a son.

Siddharth’s name on Neha’s ring

As per information, Siddharth had left Ernakulam for visiting his mother, two days prior to the incident. His phone is switched off. Even though Neha’s relatives spoke with Siddharth, he had denied any links with the incident. A ring with Siddharth’s name was found on Neha’s finger. Her phone has been sent for scientific examination. Neha’s internal organs have also been sent for examination, at a lab in Thiruvananthapuram.
