KOCHI: The crime branch has sought three more months’ time to complete further probe in the actress attack case. The investigating team said more people from the film industry should be questioned in detail and produced a list of actors to be questioned, in the court.

The further probe started following the revelation of director Balachandra Kumar. The trial court had ordered to submit a report after ending the probe on March 1. The team submitted the report based on this. However, the report said the probe is still progressing.

The crime branch asked three more months’ time to complete the investigation. The court will consider the case shortly. Meantime, the trial court has also filed a plea in the Supreme Court seeking six more months to complete the trial.
