NEW DELHI: Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi has said that 6400 Indians have returned from Ukraine in 30 flights. A total of 18,000 Indian nationals have left Ukraine. About thousands of Indian citizens have left Kharkiv yesterday. The number of Indians waiting to cross the western border has decreased. In the next 24 hours, 18 flights have been scheduled. He said that hundreds of students were still trapped in Sumy.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is trying to bring back Indian students trapped in Sumy and Kharkiv with the help of Russia. Although, Russian President Vladimir Putin offered help on Wednesday, diplomatic discussions are still progressing.
