NEW DELHI: Nepal has urged the Indian government to help repatriate Nepalese nationals stranded in Ukraine. The request comes in the wake of the successful repatriation of Indians from Ukraine via Operation Ganga. The central government has responded favorably to the Nepal government, sources said.

Earlier, Indian foreign affairs spokesman Arindam Bagchi said that 6,400 Indian nationals had returned from Ukraine in 30 flights. He added that 18,000 Indians have so far crossed the Ukraine border. Nearly a thousand Indian citizens left Kharkiv yesterday. The number of Indians waiting to cross the western border has decreased.
