PALAKKAD: The autobiography of the mother of the victims of the Walayar sexual abuse case will be released on Friday. The book is a response to the propaganda campaign raised against family members of the victims in connection with the death of the girls. The book also alleges that the case was sabotaged by the police. The book, published by Kairali Books, was copywritten by Kannur native Vineetha Anil.

There were five accused in the case. However, the mother revealed to the media that a highly influential person was also involved in the death of her children. "My younger daughter saw two people leaving the house soon after the death of her sister. Despite giving a statement, no inquiry was held into the matter. Many people said that all these happened because of our carelessness. Some even said that we were bad people. I wrote this book as I cannot go to everyone and give an explanation. This book is a response to all those who spoke ill of us.

Although we had sought the postmortem report of our elder child from the very next day after her death, we got it only after the death of our second child. Only then did we realise that both of them were sexually abused. This is the biggest evidence to prove that they were killed. The case investigation has not reached anywhere. The police officer who refused to give us the post mortem report is still in service.

Everyone was fooling us since both my husband and I do not know to read and write. The tragedy that happened to us should never happen to another family," the mother said. The family also rejected the CBI's finding that their girls committed suicide.
