KOLLAM: Kiran Kumar, accused in the Vismaya case, said that he is innocent. He said the news of dowry harassment is fabricated and that he will prove his innocence in the court. He said that he cannot reveal more things as the case is under the consideration of the court.
The Supreme Court had granted bail to Kiran Kumar, accused in the Vismaya Case, two days back. The court granted him bail accepting the claim that he need not be in custody as a charge sheet has been filed in the case. A bench led by Justice Sanjay Kaul granted him bail. Kiran approached the apex court after the high court rejected his bail plea. The high court denied bail on the ground that the accused, who was a motor vehicle officer, could influence witnesses and destroy evidence.
