KOTTAYAM: Three have been arrested for threatening and thrashing a pregnant woman. The incident happened Thursday evening at Njondimakkal near Pala. A couple, employees of a private hospital in Thodupuzha, were the victims of the attack.

Some who were sitting in a workshop misbehaved with the couple when they were going home. When her husband questioned the act, they thrashed him.

They later kicked the pregnant woman. She has been admitted at the Pala General Hospital. Expert examination revealed that the life of the foetus is in danger. The couple then lodged a complaint with the police.
