According to Knight Frank's Wealth Report, this will rise to 39 percent over the next five years.
According to the report, the wealth of billionaires will increase by 10 percent this year. Mumbai is the city with the highest number of billionaires. Hyderabad came in second, surpassing all other metro cities with 467 billionaires. Bengaluru is in the third position with 352. It is followed by the metropolitan cities of Delhi (312) and Chennai (264).
It is estimated that the number of rich people in Bengaluru will jump to 665 by 2026. This is 88.9 percent more than today. In Hyderabad, the number will be 728 by this time.
Billionaires in Asia and Australia are expected to grow by 33 percent over the next four years, according to data from various continents. It will grow 28 percent in North America and 26 percent in Latin America. The biggest increase in the number of billionaires in the last five years has been in Delhi-101.2 percent. It is 42.6 per cent in Mumbai and 22.7 percent in Bengaluru.
