NEW DELHI: The family of Harjot Singh, a medical student who suffered bullet injuries while trying to flee from Kyiv, has expressed concern over his health condition. Despite contacting the Indian embassy, we have not received any help. Evacuate our son immediately, pleaded his parents.
A bullet pierced into Harjot’s body, said his relatives. The Ukraine embassy in India has arranged all the facilities in the hospital. The Indian government should take actions to repatriate our son, Harjot’s parents told a private channel.
‘Harjot called us on February 26. He had boarded a cab along with an African student and two Ukrainians for Lviv. The cab was stopped at a check post and heHarjot was shot at the very moment he opened the door. On March 2, he informed us that he was shot. His leg is hurt. We are still concerned about him. Bring our son back,” pleaded the youth’s father.
‘Not only my son but everyone should be brought back. As he is in a hospital, he should be provided special facilities for evacuation’, said Harjot’s mother. The student was shot on his way from Kyiv to Lyiv.
