MOSCOW: Vladimir Putin has said that any country seeking to impose a no-fly zone over Ukraine would be considered by Russia to have entered the conflict. Putin has accused Zelensky of pursuing a "NATO-Russia war" and is continuing to make such demands for this.
Ukraine's President Zelensky has called on NATO to declare Ukraine a no-fly zone. But countries, including the United States, have rejected the proposal. After this, Zelensky made it clear that NATO would be responsible for every bomb dropped on Ukraine.
The United States has said that declaring Ukraine a "no-fly zone" could lead to a major war. The Russian president's response today confirms the US position.
Meanwhile, Russia continues shelling the Ukrainian city of Mariupol even after declaring a ceasefire. Authorities in Ukraine say they have stopped evacuating people to safer areas. There are reports that the 'humanitarian corridor' agreed upon by both parties to evacuate people doesn't exist as of now.
