KOZHIKODE: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the Silver Line project will not harm the environment. He was inaugurating the explanatory meeting of the Silver Line project at Kozhikode Samudra Hall. It is being implemented as a complete green project. The Silver Line does not pass through an ecologically sensitive or wildlife area of the state.

The project will be implemented without interrupting the flow of rivers and streams. The construction will take into account the situation of each area without harming the natural resources and without the risk of flooding. Some people naturally have doubts while implementing a big project. The purpose of such meetings is to explain to them.

This is an unavoidable project for our land. Although huge amount have to borrowed for this but it will gradually improve the state's economy.

All expressways in the world are built to standard gauge. Silverline is also using it.

Later it will be possible to connect to the Silverline when expressways in other states arrive. The CM said the project would not be abandoned due to opposition. Minister P.A. Muhammad Riyaz presided over the function.
