THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A woman was found dead in a hotel room in Thampanoor. She has been identified as Gayathri, a native of Kattakada. It is suspected to be a case of murder. Praveen of Kollam who accompanied her to the hotel is absconding. Police has intensified a search for him.

The two took the room yesterday afternoon. Praveen had gone out yesterday evening and when he left he locked the room from outside. The hotel received a call last night saying that a woman was in the room. Following that, the hotel staffs informed the police and when they broke opened the door found her lying dead.

There was foam in the mouth of Gayathri's body. It was Praveen who informed about her death to the hotel staffs. The Thampanoor police have started an investigation. Gayathri’s family had lodged a missing complaint at the Kattakada police station earlier.
