THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The incident in which a woman was found dead in a hotel room in Thampanoor is a mystery. The dead has been identified as Gayathri of Murukkara House near the new bridge of Veeranakavu in Kattakada. There is no clarification whether the death of the 24-year-old is a suicide or a murder.

The woman took the room in the hotel along with Praveen of Kollam Paravur yesterday morning at 10.30 am. They took Room No 107. H. The two had worked together in a jewellery shop in the city.

The two were in love. The police have obtained the picture of Praveen tying the knot with Gayathri. However, Praveen is already married. His wife knew about their relationship and had lodged a complaint with the Paravur police. She also arrived at the jewellery and informed about their relationship. She also informed Gayathri’s family about the relationship.

In the meanwhile, Praveen was transferred to a branch in Tamil Nadu. He thought that this was because of his wife and had not gone home for the last two months. The woman who lost her job was working as a gym trainer in her native place.

The hotel reception received a call from Praveen last night at 12.30 pm. Only then the hotel staff knew that the woman was alone in the room. They informed the police after finding the room locked from outside.
