NEW DELHI: Following the completion of the last phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh, the exit poll results in five states have come out. Exit polls predict that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will bag power in Punjab.

As per three exit polls, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have the upper hand. According to the India Today Axis My India exit poll, the Aam Aadmi Party alone will win the absolute majority. The Aam Aadmi Party is projected to win 76 to 90 seats and a vote share of 41 percent. The Congress is predicted to get only 28 percent of the vote. According to the India Today Axis My India exit poll, the Congress, which had 77 seats, will have to settle for 19-31 seats this time. The BJP will win only 1 to 4 seats. The Akali Dal will win 7-11 seats.

According to a Republic TV poll, the BJP is expected to retain power in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The saffron party is predicted to win 240 seats in Uttar Pradesh. The Samajwadi Party will win 140 seats and the BSP 17 seats. According to this poll, the Congress will get only 4 seats.

In Uttarakhand, the ruling BJP will get 32-41 seats, according to Jan Ki Baat's exit polls. The Congress is projected to win 27-35, the AAP 0-1 and others 0-4. This poll predicts that the BJP will get 262-277 seats in Uttar Pradesh. The survey predicts 119-134 seats for the Samajwadi Party, 3-8 seats for the Congress and 7-15 seats for the BSP.
