IDUKKI: A woman was attacked with acid at Muttom Manjapra in Thodupuzha Tuesday morning. Sona of Thodupuzha Pazhayamattm sustained burns. Sona, who sustained serious burns has been admitted at Kottayam Medical College Hospital.

Sona’s former husband Rahul tried to kill her by pouring the acid. The police have taken him into custody. The woman who sustained 40% burns is in the burn ICU. She sustained burns on her chest, both hands and on her back side. The doctors said she is not out of danger.
