KOCHI: A fire broke out at a boutique Laksyah owned by actress Kavya Madhavan. The fire broke out at the boutique functioning on the third floor of Grand Mall in Edappally. Clothes and sewing machines were gutted in the fire.

The incident happened Wednesday morning at 3 am. Initial reports said short circuit is the reason for the fire. The officials of the fire force said the exact cause could only be determined after a detailed investigation.

After seeing smoke emanating from the boutique, the security employee informed the fire force. Following that, two units of the fire force reached the spot and doused the flames by 5.30 pm.
