KOCHI: There was an attempt to kill a minor girl by hitting her with an auto for refusing love. The incident happened at Pathalam in Eloor. The ninth class student was attacked in the evening the other day. The accused drove the auto speedily to hit her while she was returning home from school. She told police that she ran aside seeing the over speeded auto.

Siva (18) of Pathalam Valloppilly, his relative Karthy (18) and their friend Selvam (34) have been arrested. Siva told his love to the girl. When she refused it, he used to go after her and disturb her.

When the auto came near her, one in the auto threw a cigarette butt towards her. The accused were nabbed in the evening itself soon after the complaint was lodged. They were produced in the court and remanded.
