THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V D Satheesan reacted to CPM Idukki district secretary's controversial remarks against KPCC president K Sudhakaran. A case should be registered against CV Varghese and the Congress will not allow a speck of dust to fall on K Sudhakaran's body, said Satheesan.
The CPM leaders are reacting in the language of street goons. A probe should be conducted against CV Varghese. He is deliberately inciting conflict. The CPM is not able to speck dust on the body of the KPCC president. It should be investigated whether the Idukki district secretary has any role in the murder of Idukki SF leader Dheeraj. C V Varghese warned the SFI activist for revealing details of the murder. The Congress will not kneel before threats. Arrogance and threat were seen from the side of the Idukki CPM secretary. He has the language of a goonda leader. The history of the reference of creepy creature should be remembered, he said.
Varghese made the controversial remarks at a public meeting of the CPM in Cheruthoni against Congress’ murder politics and anti-women stance. In his speech, Varghese said it is because of CPM’s gratis that Sudhakaran is alive. The party is not interested to murder a creepy character like him. Sudhakaran should understand about CPM’s strength, warned Varghese.
K Sudhakaran had made some remarks in connection with the murder of Dheeraj during a protest rally against the CPM's defection politics. Sudhakaran had said at the rally that Nikhil Paili and others arrested in the murder were innocent and that the SFI is not able to say that no one else had seen him stabbing. CV Varghese's justification was that he was responding to it. Sudhakaran had asserted that Dheeraj had begged his death and the accused would be freed from jail and taken to Idukki. Sudhakaran should say whether such remarks should have been made, said Varghese.
Meantime, congress leader Ramesh Chennithala said the statement of CPM district secretary against K Sudhakaran was cheap. A case should be registered against the district secretary under non-bailable section. Chennithala said the statement was a challenge to the rule of law.
