THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC president K Sudhakaran has accused CPM leaders are involved in the killing of two CPM workers in Venjaramoodu. Sudhakaran quoted the accusations that the issue between the former LC secretary, the MLA's son and the CPM leader led to the murder.
K Sudhakaran said that the Congress had on the same day claimed that the youths killed in the Venjarammoodu case were the victims of the feud within the party.
"If the murder case is properly investigated, many top leaders of the CPM would become accused. Earlier, the CM had said that the culprits behind the murder will be found. If the Chief Minister is sincere in his statement, he should demand a CBI probe", Sudhakaran challenged.
Sudhakaran said the police found the accused according to their script due to threats and pressure from the CPM. He opined that the CPM has become a haven for murderers and aggressors and that the CPM vandalized Congress offices in the state in celebration of getting martyrs. The double murder took place in Venjarammoodu on the Thiruvonam day in 2020. CPM activists Haq Mohammad and Mithilaj were killed that day.
