KOZHIKODE: The Congress has failed to consolidate public sentiment against the BJP, said activist Bindu Ammini. This is the reason why BJP won in many places. All the major political parties such as the Congress, Samajwadi Party, Aam Aadmi Party and others should have stood together in building a broad democratic front against the Sangh Parivar, she said in her Facebook post.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) brought more facilities for women and tried to improve their conditions. Moreover, they initiated and implemented several new projects for the common people. That is why, AAP won in Punjab. It is Akhilesh Yadav’s stubbornness that led to Samajwadi Party’s setback, she criticized.

The people were not interested to bring BJP to power in this election. However, other parties were unable to convert that lack of interest into votes. The BJP was successful in turning the faults of political parties, including the Congress, to its advantage. Their aim is to build a Hindutva nation. The rest of the political parties should unite immediately and build a strong alternative against the BJP, she urged through her post.
