NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the BJP will return to power at the Centre in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He was speaking at a function at the BJP headquarters in Delhi after the party recorded a victory in four of the five state assembly elections.
"In 2017, the BJP won in UP. Later in 2019, the party retained power in the Lok Sabha. In 2022, the party repeated its success in UP. I am sure that the BJP will retain power at the Centre in 2024," the PM said.
Modi said that first-time voters ensured victory for the BJP. "This victory is dedicated to the activists. It is the result of their hard work. Activists kept their word that Holi celebrations would start earlier this year. Today is a day of celebration and joy for the BJP. The party's vote share has increased in all states. This is the success of the BJP's policies," he added.
