KOCHI: The prosecution has revealed that the footage of the attack on the actress in Kochi was leaked from the court itself. The prosecution submitted to the trial court the report prepared by the crime branch in connection with the leak of footage. As per the report, the leak was discovered upon checking the pen drive, which contained the footage of the attack.

The pen drive was examined at the forensic lab in Thiruvananthapuram. The footage was leaked while the pen drive was in the custody of the court. The pen drive was kept in three courts at various stages- Aluva and Angamaly Magistrate Courts and Additional Sessions Court. However, the police have not found from which court the video was leaked. The report also stated that it was necessary to find out the source of the leak of footage. Meanwhile, the trial court directed the crime branch to file a final report in the further probe into the actress assault case on April 18.
