KOCHI: It has been reported that John Binoy, the accused in the murder of one and a half-year-old Nora in Kochi, had decided to marry the baby's grandmother Sipsy. This was revealed by John Binoy's foster father Stanley Dcruz and foster mother Altasia Dcruz. The couple's marriage intimation was displayed at the registrar's office. On learning this from the neighbours, Stanley and Altasia revoked the notice by paying money at the office.

They also say that Sipsy and Binoy lived in their house for three months during the start of the Covid pandemic.

"They used to routinely leave at eight o'clock at night and would return at four in the morning. When asked where they went, Stanley and Altasia said they are working the night shift as PRO at a hospital in Edappally. Then they came to know about their 'night job' from the police. Binoy had no objection to this either. The two always quarrel while staying at home and one of them gets injured. They will complain to the police. When they did not leave the house after three months, the police intervened and evicted them."

Earlier, police had revealed that Nora's father Sajeev and grandmother Sipsy had criminal backgrounds. According to the police, Sipsy also had illicit relations. According to her lover John Binoy Dcruz, he left Sipsy due to this. Sipsy used to take children with them on their journeys to use as a cover for drug peddling. This was a ploy to keep others from becoming suspicious. Dixy, the children's mother, opposed this and left her husband and returned to her home.
