THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The budget being presented announced work near home to provide employment to educated housewives. An amount of Rs 50 crore has been reserved in the budget for the implementation of this scheme. Educated housewives will be provided employment through work near home scheme. The government thought of the new scheme assessing that work from home was very effective for housewives during the Covid period.

The project aims to work online for companies all over the world focusing on villages and small towns. Job centers with IT based facilities will be set up in different parts of the state for this purpose. With the establishment of institutions in urban and rural areas, educated housewives will also find employment. Fifty crore has been set aside in the budget for the project.
