MALAPPURAM: A migrant worker, who fled after impregnating his 16-year-old daughter, was nabbed after six years. The special investigation team of Perumbadappu police nabbed the man, a native of Muzaffarpur in Bihar, from Rajasthan.
The incident happened in 2016. The accused after the death of his first wife came to Kerala with his twin girls and then married a woman from Kerala and was residing in Perumbbadappu. He threatened the girl many times and abused her sexually. In order not to oppose, he inflicted deep injuries on her body using a knife. He threatened to kill her everyone if revealed the incident to anybody. The girl was taken to a local Vaidyan for abortion but as the girl was in a serious condition, she was admitted at Thrissur Medical College. The incident came to light after that.
The girl's first statement was that three Bengalis abducted her in a car and sexually abused her. The police did not believe her statement and when taken her statement a second time, she said she was in love with her uncle’s son and that she was sexually abused when she came to Kerala in search of a job. The police after noticing discrepancies in her statement, gathered more information and finally she told police that her father sexually abused her. The accused who fled from here hid in various states.
The accused, who was married for the third time from Sitamarhi in Bihar, sharing border with Nepal, was working in the Bhiwadi Alwar industrial area in Rajasthan. Information about him was obtained during the investigation conducted focusing on his relatives. Perumbadappu police inspector P M Vinod, ASI Preetha, CPOs Ranjith, Nasser, Vishnu and Narayanan were part of the SIT.
