NEW DELHI: A recent report said that the Congress G-23 leaders will soon raise demand for reforms in the party during the CWC meeting that will take place in the next few days. Earlier today, G-23 leaders met at the residence of Ghulam Nabi Azad to discuss the election debacle in the five states.
According to sources, the G-23 leaders will put forward three main demands, including a change of leadership. Their other demands are the removal of the Gandhi family from the Congress leadership and the resignation of KC Venugopal from the post of General Secretary. The G23 leaders have also demanded that instead of the Gandhi family, Ashok Gehlot or Kharge be made the leader of the Congress. The G23 leaders, who feel that a change is inevitable in the party, demanded that a working committee meeting be convened as soon as possible.
