RIYADH: A petroleum refinery here has been attacked by Houthi group using drones. This was confirmed by sources in the Saudi Ministry of Energy. The drone struck the refinery at 4.40am on Thursday morning, causing a small fire at the refinery. It was immediately brought under control.
No one was injured in the attack. The drone strike did not affect the operation of the refinery or the supply of petroleum products, officials said. Saudi Arabia has condemned the attack. Sources in the Ministry of Energy demanded that the world community and organizations take a strong stand against terrorism and stop those behind the attacks and those who support them.
