KOCHI: Police have registered a case against the father and grandmother of the one-and-a-half-year-old Nora Maria, who was drowned to death by her grandmother's lover in a hotel in Kochi. Nora's father Sajeev and his mother Sipsy have been booked under the Juvenile Justice Act. They will be arrested soon. The action was taken for the lapse in the protection of the child.

The child was murdered by John Binoy D'Cruz, lover of the child's grandmother. Police have already arrested the accused. The investigation team concluded that Sipsy was not involved in the murder.

Both John and Sipsy had been involved in a relationship for the last six years. Sipsy had been living together with John and her son's two children in a hotel room since March 5. The child's mother is working abroad. The father, who was a tile worker, was not going to work after an accident. It is learned that the two children were staying with their grandmother due to family problems.
