NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leadership has announced that they will contest in the Gujarat assembly polls, which are expected this year-end. The BJP is all set for a fiery combat. After their unprecedented success in Punjab, the AAP had announced that their next target is Gujarat.

Meanwhile, the events organized by the BJP in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad, has initiated election campaigns in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a two-day state visit to his home state, had staged a road show from the Ahmedabad airport, which turned out to be the BJP's announcement of the start of the struggle. The next fight is in Gujarat, AAP Gujarat in-charge Gulab Singh.

We are definitely going to Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. These two states are on our radar. The party has been working in these states and we expect to have a big impact. Chief Ministers Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann will lead a victory march in Gujarat next month. As a beginning, victory marches will be held in every ward till March 16. By 2024, AAP will be a national party and natural replacement of the Congress. One day, Kejriwal will lead the country, said Gulab Singh.

After the defeat in the Gujarat local body elections, the war among leader such as working President Hardik Patel, PCC President Jagadish Takur, former president Arjun Modhwadia, former union minister Bharat Singh Solanki, is getting intensified.

Himachal Pradesh, the state where the BJP and the Congress are in direct combats, will also go into polls this year. The AAP is entering the state to weaken the Congress, alleged the leadership. The BJP was shocked by the Congress’ win in the state in the last by-elections.
