KYIV: Wali, one of the deadliest snipers in the world, has arrived in Ukraine to fight against the Russian forces as a volunteer fighter.

This trained killer, nicknamed Wali, is a veteran of the Royal Canadian 22nd regiment. Often being referred to as the deadliest snipers in the world, Wali was one of the four snipers who fought against the Taliban in Afghanistan. He had also traveled to Iraq on his own to fight against the ISIS.

According to sources, the name 'Wali' was assigned to him by Afghanistan residents while he was deployed in the country to fight the Taliban. Wali holds the record of the world's longest confirmed kill of 3.5 km when he fired a McMillan Tac-50 rifle to shoot an ISIS militant in Mosul.

Wali is known as one of the best snipers in the world because of his ability to provide 40 kills in a day. He has a wife and a one-year-old child, whose identities are kept secret due to security reasons.

In a recent interview, Wali said, " I want to help Ukraine. It’s as simple as that. I have to help because there are people here being bombarded just because they want to be European and not Russian.”
