KOZHIKODE: Two senior students of Kozhikode Medical College have been placed under suspension for ragging. The action was taken on the complaint of making them do excess work and harassing them mentally.
The complaint was lodged by Jithin Joy of Kollam. Jithin, who was a first year student, had to discontinue his studies following ragging. He is now continuing studies in another college in the capital city.
The complaint said that he was subjected to ragging between February 4 and 11. The complaint said the senior students harassed them by making them do excess work. His complaint said the situation was such that he could not even sleep. Following that, action was taken against the students after an investigation.
