THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) warned that the temperature in six districts of Kerala is likely to rise by three degrees.
The IMD has issued warnings in Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Kannur districts.
The directive issued by the Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) stated that the public should heed and abide by the official warnings of the Meteorological Department and the Disaster Management Authority.

People should avoid exposure to direct sunlight from 11 am to 3 pm
People should carry a bottle of water to avoid dehydration
Drink lots of pure water. Continue drinking water even if you are not thirsty. Avoid alcohol, coffee and tea during the day.
Wear loose, light-coloured cotton clothes
It is exam season and school authorities should take extra care of children. Educational institutions that are taking students for summer camps must make sure that the students are not exposed to the sun between 11 am to 3 pm.
Anganwadi staff and panchayat authorities should make necessary arrangements to ensure that children are not exposed to the sun
Aged people, pregnant women, children and patients should avoid chances of sunstroke.
