KYIV: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said there is hope in talks with Russia. Talks will continue despite Russia’s tough stand and will protect the interests of Ukraine, he said.

Meantime, an EU delegation of three prime ministers has arrived in Kyiv. The group includes Prime Ministers of Poland, Slovenia and the Czech Republic. The visit is in support of Ukraine. The team held discussions with Zelenskyy.

The war in Ukraine continues for the 21st day. During the 35-hour curfew in Kyiv, there were air attacks in several places. Four people have been killed in a Russian airstrike on a residential complex and a metro station.

The situation in Mariupol is serious. There are reports that about 400 people including doctors and patients have been taken hostage. 2,400 civilians have been killed in Ukraine so far. The International Court of Justice will pronounce verdict on Ukraine's complaint of Russian invasion.
