THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The chief minister Wednesday justified the SFI, left student organization in the law college issue, in the assembly. The chief minister told the assembly that there should be a limit in criticizing one of the most dominant student organization. He said this while replying to opposition leader V D Satheesan, who responded on the issue. The opposition leader who presented the incident in the assembly as a very serious matter, also criticized the police sharply. The chief minister also alleged that the opposition leader is behaving like a KSU activist.
Satheesan said the SFI activists are unleashing violence like goons. It is not able to identify the activists of the organization and the goons. What happened in the Law College is a serious and brutal act? The leader said the chief minister should not justify it. The KSU has been unleashing violence on campuses since time immemorial. The SFI grew facing their attacks. A case has been registered on the complaint of both organizations in connection with the incident at Law College and serious action will be taken in this issue, the chief minister explained.
The opposition leader alleged that the chief minister is degrading to the level of a party secretary trying to eliminate political opponents. However, he said that he has not tried to eliminate political opponents. He said that he reached this place after surviving many political atrocities. The chief minister clarified that he had not personally insulted the opposition leader. Unsatisfied with the chief minister's reply, the opposition walked out of the House. They walked out of the assembly saying the words of the chief minister are an inspiration to the goons.
