THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 966 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. Among these, 916 persons developed the disease through contact, including 42 cases without an identified source of infection.‍ 4 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 4 health workers contracted the disease on Wednesday.

1444 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 7536 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 5 deaths due to the virus on Wednesday with the toll rising to 67,008.
