KOCHI: The high court on Thursday will hear the plea filed by actor Dileep among other accused seeking quashing of the conspiracy case to endanger the investigating officials in the actress attack case. Dileep claimed that the allegation that he had destroyed the evidence from the phone was false and said what was deleted from the phone was his private chats.
In Dileep’s plea to quash the case, the crime branch had given a statement alleging that the accused had destroyed crucial evidences. Dileep’s reply came in response to the statement. Nothing was found in the forensic examination of the phones. Forensic report and the investigation official’s explanation are contradictory, the actor informed the court.
The plea also stated that the statement given by Dasan, a domestic servant at Dileep’s house, was untrue. The day on which Dasan is said to have arrived at lawyer Raman Pillai’s office, he was down with Covid-19. The actor also produced a Covid certificate validating his claim before the court.
